Defence Industry Sales Professional

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in the aerospace and defence sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, building relationships with clients, and attracting new customers. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to travel for events and exhibitions.
Main Tasks:
- Meet weekly and monthly visit targets while maintaining a healthy margin.
- Focus on achieving monthly sales targets while controlling costs.
- Proactively manage and develop existing accounts to achieve target spend while maintaining margin.
- Analyse the sales territory to identify potential business opportunities and create a plan to pursue them.
- Attend networking and trade events to establish connections and drive business growth.
- Plan and prioritize sales activities to meet agreed business objectives, including costs and sales.
- Respond promptly to sales enquiries and follow up to convert leads into orders.
- Present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions.
- Delegate new business leads efficiently and provide quotations and information to maximize conversion rates.
- Generate quotations and follow up to convert them into orders.
- Provide technical sales advice and support to customers and the sales team.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary package, including £35,000 basic + commission + company car (OTE approx. £20,000).
- Flexible working arrangements with office-based work and occasional travel for meetings.
