Business Development Manager Job Summary

Ritz Recruitment is recruiting for a Business Development Manager position in the aerospace and defence industry.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, business development, and relationship-building. A degree in a relevant field and excellent communication skills are essential.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive business growth through proactive account management and new business development.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and attract new customers to increase revenue.
  • Travel to events and exhibitions to establish connections and drive business growth.
  • Manage and develop existing accounts to achieve target spend while maintaining margin.
  • Plan and prioritize sales activities to meet agreed business objectives, including costs and sales.
  • Respond promptly to sales enquiries and follow up to convert leads into orders.
  • Presentation at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions.
  • Delegate new business leads efficiently and provide quotations and information to maximize conversion rates.
  • Generate quotations and follow up to convert them into orders.
  • Provide technical sales advice and support to customers and the sales team.

Remuneration Package

  • A competitive salary: £35,000 basic + commission + company car (OTE approx. £20,000).
  • Flexible working arrangements with office-based work and occasional travel for meetings.
