SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, promoting their learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Assist with the delivery of lessons and activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the pupils and the school.
  • Knowledge of support/intervention programmes for SEND, with a willingness to develop and implement new strategies.
