Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of pupils with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with special educational needs, adapting to their unique requirements and needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Assist pupils with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility.
  • Support pupils with behavioral challenges, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and policies.
