Job Overview

The role of a Modern Matron is pivotal in delivering high-quality mental health nursing care in an inpatient setting. As a Clinical Lead for Mental Health Nursing, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to nurses and other health professionals, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based care that meets the needs of patients and carers.

Main Responsibilities

As a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit Lead, you will be responsible for managing the performance of individuals within the team, leading the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care to address changing needs. You will also be responsible for ensuring that Care Quality Commission (CQC) essential standards are met and exceeded.

Key Requirements

  • Experience of leading teams and managing the performance of individuals within those teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of clinical governance and CQC essential standards of care.
  • Ability to communicate at different levels and relay information to people with different levels of ability to understand.
