Job Overview

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced mental health nurse to fill the role of Clinical Lead for Mental Health Nursing. This position offers a unique opportunity to balance clinical and managerial responsibilities, providing high-quality care to patients and leading a team of healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will have a passion for Eating Disorders and a strong understanding of clinical governance and Care Quality Commission (CQC) essential standards of care. They will be responsible for leading the planning, delivering, and evaluation of care to address changing needs, as well as managing the performance of individuals within the team.

Main Duties of the Job

The Clinical Lead will take a lead role in developing aspects of the service across inpatient services, working closely with matron colleagues within the directorate and across the wider Trust. They will be responsible for ensuring that Care Quality Commission (CQC) essential standards are met and exceeded, and will contribute to the governance of care and lead on the improvement and development of nursing care.

Person Specification

  • RMN, Educated to degree level
  • Mentor Qualification
  • Post graduate management qualification or equivalent management experience

Contractual / Other Requirements

  • To be available to take part in on-call rota
  • To be able to travel to work in different parts of the Trust; if possible to hold a current driving license
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults
