East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Physician Associate to join our team in Pain Management and Acute Pain Lead roles. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert assistance in the provision of high-quality care to patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assess and examine patients, initiate and interpret investigations, and recommend appropriate management.
- Participate in ward rounds, medical triage, and clinics to assess and plan management for patients.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the clinical team and work within the Trust's policies and clinical guidelines.
- Liaise with other professionals and specialties as required and complete necessary documentation relating to patients.
- Perform delegated duties with a high degree of clinical skill and knowledge, working within clinical environments.
- Become involved in all activities of the Directorate, including clinical governance, quality improvement projects, research, and teaching.

**Person Specification:**
- Postgraduate Diploma in Physician Associate Studies (Accredited UK)
- Basic Life Support
- Current and valid certification or re-certification of the National Certifying Examinations for Physicians Associates (Royal College of Physicians)
- Experience working as a Physician Associate in a hospital or community setting
- Registered on the Faculty of Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Body
- Passed and completed 1 year postgraduate preceptorship
