About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pain Management Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As an Acute Pain Lead Specialist, you will be responsible for providing clinical input to both the acute in-patient service and the chronic pain management service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical input to the acute in-patient service and chronic pain management service
  • Lead the In-patient Acute Pain Service working with a team of Specialist Nurses
  • Maintain skills and competencies in anaesthetic management of patients through regular theatre sessions

About the Team

The East Lancashire Chronic Pain Management Service is an integral part of the wider Integrated MSK, Pain and Rheumatology Service (IMPReS). Our team is dedicated to improving quality of life for adults with longstanding pain through evidence-based approaches.

Requirements

  • Full registration with General Medical Council
  • FRCA or equivalent (included on the GMC's Specialist Register in Anesthetics)
  • Clinical Experience and training equivalent to Advanced Specialist Training in Pain Medicine
  • ACLS / ALS
