About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Partner to join our team at Gordon Murray Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial performance and growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Take ownership of the Group's operating cost budget, providing monthly financial reports to business partners across the organization.
  • Financial Advisory: Serve as a key financial advisor, partnering with teams from Facilities, IT, and After Sales to support the Group's continued expansion and infrastructure development.
  • Payroll and Tax Compliance: Lead the payroll function, ensuring accuracy and compliance in collaboration with our outsourced payroll provider. Take charge of indirect tax compliance, ensuring the Group adheres to all relevant tax regulations and requirements.
  • Financial Processes and Controls: Work alongside the Group's Senior Accountant to prepare quarterly VAT returns. Oversee the Group's expenses and credit card policy, delivering monthly spend reports and ensuring appropriate cost controls are in place.
  • International Growth: Assist in establishing financial processes and controls for newly incorporated U.S. entities, supporting the Group's international growth.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of robust internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a similar industry or within an SME environment.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills with a solution-focused mindset.
  • Resourcefulness: Resourceful, flexible, and capable of driving improvements in a fast-paced, growing business.
