Are you passionate about freshwater conservation and the protection of great crested newts? We are seeking a highly skilled GIS & Data Officer to support our efforts to create and manage high-quality habitat for great crested newts. This is an exciting time to join our team as we expand to maximise our impact for freshwater habitats and species.

The successful applicant will be employed by Freshwater Habitats Trust, seconded full-time to the Newt Conservation Partnership. The role involves working collaboratively with our partners Amphibian and Reptile Conservation and Freshwater Habitats Trust, following their evidence-based best practice guidance for the conservation of amphibians and ponds.

We have an extensive monitoring programme, generating critical data for assessing the success of the NatureSpace schemes. You will play a key role in analysing this data, informing conservation decisions and driving impactful projects. If you have strong GIS skills, a meticulous approach to data management, and a passion for conservation, we would love to hear from you
