At Global Water Intelligence, we are seeking a talented Data Information Specialist to join our team in Oxford. As a Data Information Specialist, you will play a crucial role in collecting, interpreting, and presenting data for the international water industry.

We collect a vast amount of data and are the main source of information for the industry. Our analysis is used by businesses, governments, and investors to inform strategic decisions.

You will work with new subject areas, explore unique market value datasets, and manage your own databases that our journalism is based on. Relevant training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and manage databases: You will collect and compile external and internal data, standardise the information, and input it into our content management system.
  • Analyse and visualise data: Effective data analysis and visualisation are essential to draw out the interesting stories hiding behind the data. You will help analyse and develop visualisations to understand the present and future of the market.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of good data management practices, with the ability to collect, organise, and structure large datasets
  • Knowledge of how to extract and standardise data from multiple sources, including excel, csv, txt, pdfs, and image files
  • Familiarity with financial accounts and corporate structures of companies (desirable)
  • Experience using Excel (including PivotTables or Power Query) (desirable)

We offer a competitive salary of £32,500 per year, a holiday allowance of 25 days per year, and the opportunity to attend relevant training courses and conferences to develop within the role.
