Mental Health Clinician for New Mothers

- Provide evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to women at increased risk of or presenting with moderate to severe mental illness during the perinatal period
- Contribute to safeguarding vulnerable groups by practicing in line with All Wales Safeguarding policy
- Develop effective working relationships with all levels of staff, including individual and multi-disciplinary teams
- Provide professional consultation and education to professionals working with women and their families across the perinatal mental health pathway
Essential Requirements: Registration with the GMC, being on the Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Psychiatry, or being eligible for CCT within six months of the interview date. Experience in working with management and clinical colleagues to improve a service, teaching and training postgraduate clinical staff, and initiating, progressing, and completing audit projects.
**Location:** Swansea Bay University Health Board serves a population of around 390,000 people in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea areas. The Perinatal Mental Health Service operates across multiple sites, including Morriston Hospital, Singleton Hospital, and other community settings.
