The Center for Social Work Education at Widener University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, commencing August 2025.

Job Description:

We are seeking a faculty member with expertise in social work and organizational dynamics, and a strong research agenda to contribute to collaborative research projects. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in higher education settings, particularly in MSW programs, with excellent evaluations and preferably online teaching experience.

The successful candidate will teach a 3/3 course load in BSW, MSW (campus-based and/or online), and/or PhD program, developing and teaching courses as determined in collaboration with the Director. They will ensure that courses and syllabi are current and available to all students, providing timely, individualized, and supportive feedback on student work.

The successful candidate will also engage in scholarly work related to an area of interest on a regular basis, maintaining an active, highly visible, and ideally extramurally funded research program with outstanding scholarship. They will maintain currency of professional knowledge through regular continuing education and participate in team and interdisciplinary teaching, curriculum development, and academic advising.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $85,000 - $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
