**Job Title:** Educational Support Specialist

**Location:** Northumberland

**Salary:** £20-25 per hour or above

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Educational Support Specialist to provide support to Primary aged pupils with SEMH in a variety of settings. As a qualified teacher, you will have experience working with children who have additional needs or are looked after children.

**Job Description:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working with children who may have additional needs or are looked after children
  • Building rapport and a good relationship with the pupils
  • Providing educational sessions, face-to-face with children at their homes or a local area
  • Planning resources around the child's needs
  • Keeping the child engaged with tasks

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging sessions
  • Managing and implementing different behaviour strategies
  • Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and providing feedback
