Primary Education Support Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning and Development Assistant to support young learners in their educational journey at GSL Education - Newcastle.
Job OverviewThis is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teaching assistant to make a difference in the lives of primary school students. As a Learning and Development Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to create tailored learning plans that address the specific needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with teachers to design and implement individualized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students in Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7) and Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11).
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and any interventions used.
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a primary teaching assistant or in a similar role and a genuine passion for supporting young children in their educational journey. Relevant qualifications or training in education are desirable but not essential.
Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS check.
