Executive Chef Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a unique, luxury hotel in South Devon. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading the team in their absence, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Executive Chef in menu creation, kitchen organisation, and training of kitchen staff
- Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff members
- Prepare, cook, and plate high-quality dishes for both fine dining restaurants
- Maintain a keen eye for detail and ensure consistent high standards
- Previous fine dining experience in a high-end kitchen environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor
- Passion for using high-quality, local ingredients
- Previous experience in a similar role or as a senior kitchen team member
