Executive Chef Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a unique, luxury hotel in South Devon. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Executive Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading the kitchen team in their absence, and contributing to the creation of high-quality dishes for our award-winning fine dining restaurants.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Executive Chef in the general day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead the kitchen team in their absence
- Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members
- Assist with the supervising of the kitchen team
- Contribute to the preparation, cooking, and plating of high-quality dishes
- Maintain kitchen organisation and training of kitchen staff members
- Assist with menu creation
- Previous high-end fine dining experience
- Background of preparing and cooking fresh ingredients
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards
