About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Anchor. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their dining experience is enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
  • Manage food storage, handling, and disposal, minimizing waste and ensuring compliance with food safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chef Manager and other kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Escalate any concerns or issues related to food safety, health, and hygiene.
Requirements
  • Level 2 food safety certificate.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
  • Previous catering experience, with a basic understanding of food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
  • Experience working with older people.
