About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Anchor. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their dining experience is enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals to the highest standards, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Manage food stock, minimize waste, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chef Manager and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Escalate any concerns or issues promptly, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
  • Hold a Level 2 food safety certificate and have a good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Previous catering experience, with knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work in a pressured environment, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a calm demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work as part of a team and independently, with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
