We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at the Kent Autistic Trust. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism, mental health issues, and learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to individuals with complex needs, including physical and learning disabilities.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and household management.
- Support individuals to participate in community activities, such as bike rides, walks, and shopping.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure the best possible outcomes for individuals.
- Manual driving license (essential)
- Ability to think on your feet and problem-solve
- Understanding of individual needs and abilities
- Promoting independence and choice
- Forming good working relationships with other staff members
- Paid DBS check
- 28 days holiday, plus option to buy 5 extra days per annum

The Kent Autistic Trust provides a wide range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals with autism, mental health issues, learning disabilities, and related difficulties. We support over 80 people in Medway and across Kent, and our services include residential homes, supported living accommodation, day resource services, respite, and outreach services.
We are committed to promoting independence and inclusion within communities and believe that everyone is able to make their own individual contribution. We seek Support Workers who value every person, whether it's the individuals we support, their families, carers, or other staff members, by respecting their priorities, needs, abilities, and limits.
