Casual Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a Casual Support Worker to join our team at the Kent Autistic Trust. As a Casual Support Worker, you will provide support to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and related difficulties in our residential homes, supported living accommodation, day resource services, respite, and outreach services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and related difficulties in their daily lives.
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene, including administering medication.
  • Support individuals with household management tasks, such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Uphold the dignity and confidentiality of individuals we support.
  • Form good working relationships with other members of staff and individuals we support.
  • Ensure written records are correctly maintained.
Requirements:
  • Positive, forward-thinking, and compassionate attitude.
  • Ability to think on your feet and problem solve.
  • Understanding of individual abilities and support needs.
  • Promoting independence and choice.
  • Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
