About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream school in Northampton. The school prides itself on developing students' education and ensuring they meet their targets for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils within the classroom, small groups, and one-to-one settings.
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques and behaviour-based instruction to promote student engagement and progress.
  • Follow children's specialised support plans to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Support teachers within the classroom, which may include marking and delivering lessons.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Experience working with primary-aged children and a genuine interest in helping support children with SEN.
  • Proven experience working with the UK curriculum and a strong understanding of educational policies and procedures.
