Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teacher

We are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs Teacher to join our team at a Specialist Primary School in Northampton. The school is passionate about supporting its students to develop emotional regulation skills and improve their readiness to learn.

The appointed person will be expected to make a real and positive impact to the lives of children who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities that makes every day varied and interesting. You will be able to successfully build trusting student relationships and motivate and encourage student(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with living and learning tasks as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and supporting students with SEMH needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans
  • Collaborating with other professionals to provide a comprehensive support system
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to students

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
