About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs Teacher to join our team at a Specialist Primary School in Northampton. The school caters to children aged 4-11 with a range of needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and support students with complex needs, promoting their social, emotional, and mental health development.
  • Build trusting relationships with students and their families, providing individual attention and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the school team to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with challenging behaviour.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment policies, ensuring they meet the needs of students with complex needs.

What You'll Need

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or other complex needs.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment.
