Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Editor to define and implement editorial strategies, aligning with UnHerd's mission and goals.
  • Manage and mentor a team of editors and writers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contributors, ensuring a steady stream of high-quality content.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging topics, applying this knowledge to enhance UnHerd's editorial offerings.
Requirements
  • At least five years of experience in a senior editorial role, preferably in a national newspaper or magazine.
  • Proven track record of managing teams, developing editorial content, and driving editorial strategies.
  • Excellent editing, commissioning, and leadership skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of UnHerd's mission and values, with a clear vision for contributing to its growth and success.
  • Fluency in social media and online platforms, with experience in growing online audiences and engaging with readers.
