Deputy Editor Opportunity at UnHerd

This is a fantastic chance for an experienced journalist to become a key member of UnHerd's senior editorial team. As Deputy Editor, you will work closely with the Editor to shape and refine UnHerd's daily output, contributing to the company's continued success and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Editor to define and implement editorial strategies.
  • Manage a team of editors and writers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality content.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contributors and external partners.
  • Contribute to the development of UnHerd's content calendar and editorial plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve UnHerd's content and operations.
Requirements
  • At least five years of experience working at a senior level in a national newspaper or magazine.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and leading editorial projects.
  • Excellent editing, commissioning, and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of UnHerd's mission and values.
  • Fluency in social media and awareness of how to grow an online audience.
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
