About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our Community Service team as a Part Time Community Sensory Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to individuals with sensory impairments, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care, to promote independence and well-being.
  • Accompany individuals on outings and activities, fostering social connections and a sense of community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, best practices, and resources, enhancing the quality of support provided.
Requirements
  • Positive attitude, with a strong commitment to empowering individuals with sensory impairments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of individuals.
  • BSL skills or willingness to learn, with a strong understanding of sensory impairments and their impact on daily life.
  • Full UK driving license and use of a vehicle, with a willingness to travel to support individuals in their communities.
