We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Commissioning Expert to join our team at First Recruitment Group.

The Lead Mechanical Commissioning Expert will be responsible for:

  • Safeguarding the project by prioritizing Safety above all else and striving towards Zero Harm.
  • Mentoring and leading a team of Commissioning Engineers and Technicians.
  • Oversight of all testing activities throughout the commissioning process.
  • Supervising the creation of commissioning test documentation.
  • Coordinating the efforts of Commissioning Technicians and support staff.
  • Closely collaborating with regulatory compliance specialists to facilitate witnessing of commissioning activities.
  • Tracking and managing Temporary Commissioning Aids.
  • Collecting and recording supporting data as per test requirements.
  • Possessing the ability to leverage completions management systems to oversee commissioning activities, and transition them from construction to commissioning and then to the client.
  • Capable of scheduling work and managing it against project timelines.
  • Able to participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and collaborate with the engineering team.
  • Driving continuous improvement within the commissioning process.
  • Promoting timely completion of tasks to meet schedule objectives.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Substantial experience in a mechanical engineering discipline.
  • A preference for HNC or equivalent qualification or route to achieve it.
  • Project commissioning experience.
  • Familiarity with process commissioning, vessels & pumps.
  • Nuclear industry experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Design Tools/Software: Go Completions, Microsoft suite.
