Mechanical Commissioning Specialist

Certain Advantage is seeking a skilled Commissioning Engineer to join their team in Cumbria. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects, providing construction, engineering, and project management services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering assigned commissioning tasks in a safe and effective manner, ensuring adherence to commissioning process requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize experience in Mechanical Handling to ensure the smooth execution of commissioning tasks.
- Develop arrangements for controlling, witnessing, recording, and assessing the results of commissioning tests, prioritizing safety considerations.
- Deliver commissioning work scope within agreed timelines and budgets, leveraging expertise in mechanical systems commissioning.
- Maintain a proactive approach to safety, encompassing nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental aspects to optimize commissioning outcomes.
- Ensure seamless collaboration with other project processes, incorporating input from design, HAZOP, risk, contract, estimating, and knowledge management.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Nuclear Mechanical systems commissioning experience is essential for success in this role.
- A minimum of a HNC/HND in an Engineering-related subject or equivalent qualification is required.
- Proven experience in nuclear commissioning is highly valued, as is project management knowledge, preferably as an APM member.
- Proficiency in Excel-based calculation production is necessary for this position.
We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, to attract top talent. Additionally, the ability to obtain BPSS and P4 Pass security clearances is mandatory for continuance in the role.
