The Role

We are seeking an Agricultural Trader to join our expanding team, based at our office in Ipswich. This is an entry level position and a great opportunity to learn from our strong professionals. The main purpose and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Purchasing grain, pulses and oilseeds from farms and selling seed fertiliser and other crop products.
  • Working with the rest of the team to identify prospective customers, promote the benefit of trading with COFCO UK, and open new accounts.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships through providing technical guidance and product support to customers.
  • To ensure that accounts are paid within terms agreed, and customer credit is controlled.
  • To undertake on farm grain sampling.
  • To ensure the maintenance of an effective working knowledge of all crops/commodities traded, and of seed/fertiliser and other crop products sold.
