Arable Farm Trader Specialist

Websters Rural is seeking a highly skilled Arable Farm Trader Specialist to join their team in Suffolk. This exciting opportunity involves developing and supporting farmer suppliers, negotiating purchase contracts, and selling fertiliser, seed, and specialist crop contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and support farmer suppliers aligned with company values, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring strong relationships are maintained.
- Buy Grain, Oilseeds, and Pulses from established and new customers, leveraging market knowledge and negotiation skills to secure the best deals.
- Negotiate purchase contracts within established price ranges and terms, balancing commercial goals with supplier needs.
- Sell fertiliser, seed, and specialist crop contracts, showcasing product value and benefits to farmers.
- Plan and manage work time to maximise customer contact, ensuring effective communication and timely responses.
- Monitor and report market activities accurately and timely, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
- Coordinate sampling and testing of commodities for purchase, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.
- Demonstrates a high degree of commercial awareness, with a keen understanding of market dynamics and supply chain management.
- Attention to detail, even when working to challenging deadlines, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the job.
- Familiarity with FACTS qualifications and experience working in arable farming environments is desirable.
