Agricultural Technician Role

This exciting opportunity exists for an Agricultural Technician to join our growing team at Suffolk New College's Suffolk Rural campus.

Salary: £22,623 - £25,668 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in supporting our agricultural operations.

The successful candidate will assist with daily farm duties, working closely with our commercial operations and learners studying land-based qualifications. This involves using specialist equipment and systems, with training provided where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day running of the farm, including tasks such as equipment maintenance and operation.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to learners studying land-based qualifications.
  • Contribute to the wider college health and safety activity, participating in regular training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant industry experience, preferably with young people, record keeping, and farm management systems.
  • Familiarity with health and safety procedures and willingness to undertake additional training.
  • Possession of relevant industry tickets or willingness to obtain them.
