The Role

We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Safety and Sustainability Leader to join our team. This critical role will allow you to lead and shape the health and safety function within our fast-growing industry and create a lasting impact across the business.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Inspire: Direct and manage a dedicated health and safety team, setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and fostering a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.
  • Drive Integration and Innovation: Lead the integration of specialist M&E projects across the sector, ensuring a cohesive approach to health and safety across all areas.
  • Risk Management: Identify key health and safety risks, working with stakeholders to implement processes that minimize risks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the ambassador of health and safety, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors, including scheduled updates.
About You

The successful Safety and Sustainability Leader candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within construction, house building or M&E.
  • Experience in influencing, engaging and coaching senior management and liaising directly with clients.
  • A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations.
  • Ideally a NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent and CMIOSH.

This position requires an individual who is passionate about health and safety and high performance. The salary for this role is £70,000 + Company Car, and the location is Stroud. We offer a dynamic work environment and opportunities for professional growth and development.
