Attendance and Learning Lead

At Outwood Academy Kirkhamgate, we seek an exceptional individual to fill a vital dual role as Attendance and Learning Lead. The successful candidate will drive forward attendance strategies, aiming to improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absence in line with the academy's targets.
The position involves monitoring students' academic and behavioural progress, identifying children who may require intervention, and recognising any barriers to learning. As a key liaison point between agencies and the academy, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure robust safeguarding procedures are in place.
We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum, based on a 30-hour working week, Monday to Friday, term time only plus two additional inset days. Our academy is situated on the outskirts of Wakefield, a Cathedral City, and boasts an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating.
