About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support a student with mild ASD in a KS1 setting. The ideal candidate will have a background in Psychology, Early Childhood, or Youth Studies, and be able to provide communication support and behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the student throughout the school day
  • Assist the student with work set out by the teacher
  • Provide behaviour and learning support
  • Uphold the values of the school at all times
  • Aid with the set up and set down of the classroom
  • Maintain high levels of health and safety
  • Aid the teacher with the day-to-day running of the class

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualifications and training for the role
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Free child protection and prevent duty training
