Electrical Power Network Technician

A fast-paced and varied job awaits you as an Overhead Lines Power Network Craftsperson at National Grid plc. You will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in the safe construction, maintenance, and repair of the UK's power network, ensuring a reliable supply of electricity to the country.
You'll work outdoors in various locations, embracing different weather conditions, and operate vehicles equipped with tools and materials, traveling to remote job sites. You'll also shadow experienced linespersons to gain new skills and knowledge in the field and receive training at our Global Technical Training Centre of Excellence and on-site training.
The role requires working in accordance with safe practices and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring safety while working at heights. A Level 3 qualification as a Power Industry Overhead Lines Person is awarded upon completion of the programme, and most importantly, a job waiting for you.
