Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as an Industrial Power Tools Specialist. As part of this role, you will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, maintenance, commissioning, calibration, fault finding, and on-site support for a range of industrial power tools.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Routine maintenance and repair of industrial power tools, predominantly bolting, material handling and fastening solutions including wrenches, drills, torque guns, fasteners, precision tooling and associated tooling products.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose power tool malfunctions, offering effective repair solutions.
  3. Calibration, commissioning and on-site support for bolting solutions and fastening systems.
  4. Maintain service records and report on power tool performance and repairs.
  5. Liaise with various engineering departments.

Requirements
  • Experience as a Service Technician, Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Workshop Engineer, Calibration Engineer, Mechanical Engineer M&E Engineer within industrial products.
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical and / or mechanical engineering systems.
  • Hands-on service maintenance background in power tools, pneumatic tools, electric motors, hydraulics, rotating equipment, automation, robotics, instrumentation or similar mechanical equipment. Full product training provided.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills for power tool repairs and maintenance is a plus.
  • A technical engineering degree, qualification, apprentice trained in mechanical engineering, HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3 or similar would be advantageous.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Commutable to the workshop near Preston and willingness to travel UK wide when required.
