Healthcare Science Specialist

NHS Scotland is recruiting a skilled Healthcare Science Specialist to join its Medical Equipment Management Service. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical equipment management services across various hospitals and clinics in Lothian.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics or medical engineering, with experience in electronic servicing and good communication skills. You should be self-motivated, able to work effectively within a team, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. A flexible and methodical approach to tasks is essential, as well as the ability to travel and work in different settings.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services for medical equipment, collaborating with healthcare staff to ensure equipment meets required standards, and contributing to the development of staff to enhance career opportunities.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree or technical HND in electronics or medical engineering, experience in electronic servicing, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Familiarity with quality management systems is also desirable.
