Job Overview


Gilead Sciences, a research-based biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Medical Science Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Science Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing expert medical education to healthcare professionals and advocating for the use of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) therapy.


About the Role


This is a full-time, field-based position that requires extensive travel within Scotland and North East England. You will be working closely with the cellular therapy account manager and case manager to address specific account challenges and establish relationships with referring and CART infusing treatment centers.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide expert medical education to NHS stakeholders in CART infusion centers and referring hospitals
  • Collaborate extensively with the UK CART medical team and UK CART business unit members
  • Work closely with the cellular therapy account manager and case manager to address specific account challenges
  • Undertake extensive travel, including appointments and meetings within territory, as well as regional, national, and international conferences

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you must have excellent scientific communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team and take ownership of multiple projects. A medical/nursing/pharmacy/life science professional holding an entry-level degree is required. Previous industry experience working with CAR/TCR therapies or haemato-oncology is strongly preferred.


Salary Information


The estimated annual salary for this position is £55,000-£70,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
