Department Overview

The Medical Physics Department at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled electronic service technician to join our team as a medical equipment specialist. This full-time permanent position involves working within the Medical Equipment Management Service, supporting the delivery of high-quality medical equipment management across various hospitals and clinics in Lothian.

As a medical equipment specialist, you will have a degree or technical HND qualification in electronics or medical engineering and experience in electronic servicing roles. Your self-motivation, teamwork skills, and flexibility will be essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the service. Good interpersonal skills are also crucial for effective communication with colleagues and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of medical equipment management services across multiple clinical specialities.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on equipment management activities.
