Child Development and Learning Assistant

Academics Ltd is seeking an exceptional Child Development and Learning Assistant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to make a real difference in the life of a young learner with special educational needs.
About the Role:
As a Child Development and Learning Assistant, you will work closely with our team of professionals to provide tailored support and guidance to a child with SEN. Your expertise and empathy will help the child overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
About the Child:
The child has an EHCP that outlines specific targets, outcomes, and strategies for their development. You will play a vital role in helping the child achieve these goals by providing individualized support and encouragement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement personalized support plans in collaboration with teaching staff and other professionals
• Provide one-to-one support to the child, focusing on their individual needs and goals
• Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery to ensure the child's needs are met
• Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and involvement in activities
• Participate in regular review meetings to discuss the child's progress and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with SEN or similar backgrounds
• Strong understanding of SEN and mental health principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• A calm and patient demeanor when working with children
