An exciting opportunity has arisen for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly-regarded primary school in Salisbury, providing invaluable experience for future careers in the Special Needs and Mental Health sector.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will be employed on an immediate and long-term basis to support a child with an EHCP and explicit targets and outcomes.
  • As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO, being provided with specialist and expert support and training that will be vital for your personal development.

This is a tremendous opportunity to observe, work alongside, and collaborate with speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, occupational therapists, and teachers with SEN specialisms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to a child with Autism, enabling them to overcome their obstacles and improve their life.
  • Work in close partnership with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement targeted interventions to meet the child's specific needs.

In return, the successful SEN Teaching Assistant will receive a competitive salary of £82.50 per day, reflecting the importance of this role in supporting the child's learning journey.
