About the Job

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Officer to join their team in London or Croydon. As an Administrative Officer, you will have the opportunity to work directly with military colleagues to deliver key outputs and develop your skills and career in the Civil Service.

Your main responsibilities will include engaging with military and civilian stakeholders, managing email correspondence, communicating with colleagues and customers, and using bespoke IT systems (full training provided). You will also be responsible for electronic file management and records maintenance, using Microsoft Office 365 programmes, and performing other routine administrative tasks.

Key qualifications for this role include effective communication, patience under pressure, proactivity, and ability to work to deadlines. We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled individuals who can work effectively in a team to deliver tasks. The MOD offers a competitive salary of £26,235 per annum, plus benefits such as a Civil Service pension, learning and development opportunities, and flexible working options.
