Job Overview:
The South and Vale District Council is committed to delivering best practice policies and innovative approaches. As a Place Making Officer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of districts and helping to deliver the work of the policy team. The immediate focus will be working with a team of over 20 professionals to progress the Joint Local Plan through examination. You will assist in topics or sections of the plan and its evidence base, work with neighboring authorities, and support public consultations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Joint Local Plan
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to progress the plan through examination
- Support public consultations and other team activities
- Collaborate with neighboring authorities on cross-boundary matters

Essential Skills:
- A keen interest in place-making and high-quality customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of planning policies and procedures
- Familiarity with the Joint Local Plan and its evidence base
