Role Summary

We are looking for a Place Making Specialist to join our planning policy team at South and Vale District Council. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the development of innovative approaches and best practice policies.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist in progressing the Joint Local Plan through examination. You will work closely with a team of over 20 professionals to achieve this goal. In addition, you will support public consultations, work with neighbouring authorities on cross-boundary matters, and engage in other activities related to the team's work.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in urban planning, planning policy, or a related field. A degree in a relevant subject is also desirable. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
