Community Development Coordinator

Purpose of Post: To engage with Angus communities to promote community development and encourage volunteering, while supporting initiatives that drive positive change.
Main Responsibilities:
- Engage with local communities to promote volunteering and the benefits to individuals and groups.
- Work in partnership with Angus Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP) and Community Planning Partnership (CPP) developments at an operational level.
- Develop local empowerment opportunities through meaningful community engagement approaches with local communities, organisations and volunteer movements.
- Collaborate with communities and key partners through consultation, awareness, learning, and training events.
- Coordinate with communities and partners to evaluate needs, including addressing issues raised by community planning partners, and contribute to collaborative efforts.
Key Skills and Qualities: The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with community workers, key organisations, and local communities.
