About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Diabetic Eye Screener to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our national diabetic eye screening program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run local clinics to see service users and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy
  • Provide empathetic and personalized care to patients, discussing their health and eye images in a clear and concise manner
  • Work independently in a sometimes pressured environment, requiring a cool head and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Support patients in understanding their eye health and providing guidance on next steps
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and complete necessary qualifications
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Previous experience working with the public is ideal
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs including grades A-C in English, Maths, and a Science subject or equivalent
