We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Diabetic Eye Screener to join our team at NEC Care. As a key member of our retinal screening program, you will play a vital role in helping people with diabetes live longer, healthier lives.
About the Role
As a Diabetic Eye Screener, you will be responsible for running local clinics to see service users and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy. You will work closely with our team to provide empathetic and personalized care to our patients, and will be supported in your training to ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Run local clinics to see service users and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy
- Provide empathetic and personalized care to patients
- Work closely with the team to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices
Requirements
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs including grades A-C in English, Maths, and a Science subject or equivalent
