Job Title: Diabetic Eye Screening Specialist
NEC Care, part of the NEC Health division, delivers the national diabetic eye screening programme. Our mission, vision, and values are to provide people-centric services that aim to improve the health and wellbeing of those we serve by working to achieve excellence in service delivery.
South West London (SWL) DESP provides retinal screening clinics and image grading to people with diabetes in the boroughs of South West London. We are commissioned by Public Health England to provide retinal screening on behalf of the NHS and our service is compliant with the National Service Framework (NSF) and National Screening Committee (NSC) guidance, standards, and objectives.
An opportunity has arisen to work with our team.
As a Diabetic Eye Screening Specialist, you will run local clinics to see our service users and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy. We need you to be empathetic and able to talk to people about their health and eye images on a daily basis. In this role, you will be supported whilst undertaking training, but once that is completed, you will be working largely unsupervised in a sometimes pressured environment, so a cool head is essential. All in all, we want you to be customer and people-focused, caring about our service users and being passionate about delivering an exceptional service at all times.
This is a permanent, full-time post and the successful candidate will be working hours across 5 days per week.
