Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Clinician to lead our Occupational Therapists in Acute Medicine and develop a more integrated approach to hospital discharge, aligned with national initiatives.

The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical skills in the assessment and management of patients with complex health and social needs, relating these to occupational therapy needs on the ward and at home.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day running of the medical rehabilitation Occupational Therapy service, ensuring all medical rehabilitation patients receive appropriate and effective treatment.
  • Autonomous practitioner providing Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to designated caseload, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Supervision, teaching, and line management of junior staff, assistants, and students on placement.
  • Participation in team-based or department-based research projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Msc, BSc, or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of CPD and relevant postgraduate courses
